Get Ready For Feast Food & Film Starting June 17th

Join food film buffs over two weekends in June to celebrate food films paired with delicious local restaurants and drink providers!

 

On Friday, June 17th at 7pm, there will be a screening the documentary ‘Sour Grapes’ at the Vic Theatre. A short talk will take place before the film from Andrew Moyer from Ottavio regarding a selection of Canadian cheeses that is included in the ticket price (and will be available to purchase on-site) alongside some delicious local wines from de Vine Vineyards. ($20)

 

On Saturday, June 18th, at 7pm also at the Vic Theatre, ‘The Missing Ingredient’ will be screened while attendees sample a variety of meatballs from different local restaurants in Victoria, and sampling various spirits from de Vine Vineyards. There will be a panel prior to the film with Mike Murphy from 10 Acres and Shellie Gudgeon from Il Terrazzo about the recipe for restaurant success. ($29)

 

On Friday, June 24th at 8pm, ‘The Empire of Senses  will take place in Sidney at the new Victoria Distillers location (which is set to open next week). This doc is paired with a cocktail from Victoria Distillers and tasty bites from Toque Catering and the evening will begin with a talk from Peter Hunt and a speaker from Toque Catering. ($29)

 

On Saturday, June 25th, Feast will be returning to town at Phillips with a screening of Tarantino classic ‘Pulp Fiction’. Admission gets attendees a Phillips beer, a hypodermic shooter and film admission. There will also be Royales with cheese from Coast Lunchbox and milkshakes from Jackson Ice Cream available to purchase onsite. So bring a blanket or chairs and get comfy. A dj will also play Pulp Fiction inspired tunes before the screening. ($20).
