They became one of a handful of places that can serve whiskies from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Shawn Soole now has at his disposal an array of fine whiskies from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society that you can go in and try, generally a privilege reserved for members of the society. Last night was different from the usual society meeting as well—they usually meet once a month and sample the latest whiskies acquired, but last night the general public were allowed to attend and they were serving whiskies that even the members hadn’t tried yet and we can’t talk about…yet—there were a lot of members that came for this very reason.Top Photo: Shawn, his chef Justin, Kelly and Rob from the Society Shawn and chef Justin Hardiman had paired each of the whiskies for the night with a canapé, including the pictured pork belly (left) and smoked brisket with sauerkraut (right).
