If it ain’t broke…  This wine has long been a best BC buy. Great value – check.  Wide availability – check.  Stelvin-fresh youthfulness – check.  Eminently quaffable – check!  It’s a no-brainer listed by the glass in a resto, and smart shoppers buy it by the case from their local wine store.  It’s no secret – 5V PH is a huge seller in BC.  So let’s revisit and remind ourselves why new isn’t always better.  This reliable, unoaked Pinot Grigio is bright and fresh with sweet citrus and green pear aromas. The palate is a continuation of what started in the nose – much Anjou pear plus kiwi, apricot and a mild honey finish. This is like creamsicles for adults – so easy to guiltlessly down a few on a hot summer day. The Mission Hill Five Vineyards Series is named for the 5 distinct growing areas in the Okanagan. This wine was blended from vineyards in Oliver, Naramata and Kelowna.  Keep handy for casual mid-week meals and pop-in guests.  Seafood and shellfish – citrus and cream touched – will be lovely with this.
