Victoria Royals Featured Player Luncheon at the Hotel Grand Pacific March 1st

The Hotel Grand Pacific www.hotelgrandpacific.com  is the newest sponsor of the Victoria Royals (the city’s Western Hockey League franchise) www.victoriaroyals.com  and this luncheon is part of how they’re displaying their hometown pride.  Open to the public, this event is a way for fans to celebrate their team’s accomplishments, chat with players and coaching staff, and see exclusive video highlights from CHEK-TV.  The luncheon will feature three players: one chosen by fans and two more chosen by a panel made up of Cleve Deenshaw (Times-Colonist), Marlon Martens (The Zone), and Mike Walker (CHEK-TV).  Tickets are $36 including HST or $325 per table of nine and are available by calling 250-380-4459.

Cowichan Chef’s Table Special Event March 11th at Providence Farm in Duncan

On March 11th, from 1 PM – 4 PM the Cowichan Chef’s Table will present a fundraiser for the MS Society. This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to sample the best of the Cowichan Valley food scene. The afternoon is a sit down, multi-course culinary feast pairing local foods and BC wines. Dishes will include canapés from the culinary students of VIU, an artisan pork terrine from Bruce’s Kitchen on Saltspring Island and a dish of braised duck and spices from Deerholme Farm to name a few.
