Concurrent dinners across British Columbia with restaurants and cooking schools from Vancouver to Whistler, Victoria to Kelowna, Langley to Bowen Island and Seattle, each donating one table with a set menu and wine, as we celebrate the Grande Dame of cooking, on what would have been her 100th birthday (August 15, 1912 – August 15, 2012) Choose a new restaurant or one of your favourites. Additionally a raffle will be held for gourmet baskets featuring Les Dames d’Escoffier member food products and cookbooks with tickets drawn that evening. In Vancouver an after party with guests from all the restaurants, as well as donating chefs, will be held at the Four Seasons, Vancouver with a special Julia Child birthday cake cutting, displayed in the lobby of the Four Seasons.
