This program feeds the school a local, healthy lunch twice a week for the majority of the year. Guests to the festival are asked for a donation to go to the festival. In the 3rd year$2300 collected. The first year saw about 1500 guests and last year they had over 2000, expecting even more this year. There will be food carts and local artisans including local bread, gelato, jams and jellies. As for garlic there will be lots of that! Generally, about half of the vendors focus on garlic and local fresh bulbs harvested that morning! The wine shop, of course, is open all day and will be very busy with tastings and food and wine pairings with a focus on garlic. The patio will also have live music for guests at the festival as well as guests on the patio. This year the musicians are Brent Tyler and Joshua Smith.Where: Hester Creek Estate Winery, OkanaganWhen: Saturday, Oct 3rd, 2015 11am-5-mMore information SHARE VIA: Facebook Twitter Pinterest Written By: Guest Writer We get many people writing guest articles for us, as well as past contributors.
