Executive Director Tamara McPhail says the series is an opportunity for Cortes Islanders and visitors to experience excllent organic seasonal cuisine, highlighting produce, herbs, and compassionately raised meat from the farm, lovingly prepared by steward/chef Kirsten Vidulich. For decades Cortes residents and visitors have enjoyed raw products from Linnaea from our farm stand, local food co-op, or summer markets, but now we’re taking it to the next level by inviting folks to indulge in delicious cuisine produced right here on the farm.So far, three Dinner Club dates are scheduled, each with its own theme: Saturday, November 26th – Lamb Saturday, January 14th, 2017 – Beef Saturday, February 25th, 2017 – TBAEach event features a meal which includes three dishes: appetizer, entrée, dessert along with wines from neighbouring Quadra Island’s Southend Farm & Winery, which is already gaining a prized reputation for producing high quality wines. But that’s not all, the events also contain an educational component. Guest speakers discuss the designated theme, including history, culture and Linnaea Farm’s sustainable agriculture philosophy, as well as leave time for questions from diners.
