South Cowichan Farmers Market will be open Sundays 10am to 3pm July 8th to October 7th. The market is easily located at the Cross Roads Centre, 4485 Trans-Canada Highway at Koksilha Road at the south end of the Cowichan Valley. The location has 3.5 acres with plenty of room for vendors and shoppers to park and enjoy the market. The mission of South Cowichan Farmers Market is to provide a conveniently located venue where local farmers, producers, crafters and artisans can come together to provide a variety of fresh produce and related products sold directly to the consumer. The market encourages direct communication between consumers and growers and fosters social gathering and community building. ABOUT THE MARKET:Our market presents local vendors selling everything from farm produce, handmade artisan gifts, delicious homemade food and baked goods. The market features entertainment, raffles and contests for both vendors and shoppers. Designed not only as a shopping place, but also as a social community venue. Our aim is to support local farmers and small business people who grow, make or bake their own products. South Cowichan Farmers Market is there to help educate the buying public on how their food and other essential products are produced and used. Vancouver Island has the unrivalled benefits of having some of the best local organic farms and small producers around and this market showcases all of that.
