SHARE VIA: Facebook Twitter PinterestVernon-based Okanagan Spirits www.okanaganspirits.com, Canada’s internationally recognized Master Class Distillery, celebrated the opening of their second location in the heart of downtown Kelowna just in time for the holidays. While this beautiful new showroom at 267 Bernard Avenue is home to a magnificent tasting bar, it is still a working distillery. At the opening night celebration the gleaming copper pot still was bubbling away making Okanagan Spirits Raspberry Liqueur. Okanagan Spirits crafts a variety of products ranging from liqueurs made from 100% BC fruit (no additives), to their line of Eaux de Vies. Translating as “water of life”, these distillates have a much higher alcohol content and include Poire William, made from fully ripened Bartlett pears, Canados, made from Hyslop crab apples and Kirsch Virginiana, from BC wild cherries. The distillery also produces a line of grape based Grappas, makes a very popular authentic Absinthe, aptly called Taboo, and has just launched their first Gin. Every holiday soiree needs a signature drink and Okanagan Spirits provides wonderful ideas on their website or in the tasting room to make your very own signature holiday cocktail. Or make their Okanagan take on a classic – the Okanagan Kir Royal. In a champagne flute add a sugar cube, a splash of Okanagan Blackcurrant Liquor, and top with Okanagan sparkling wine. If you can’t drop by for a tour and taste before the holidays, Okanagan Spirits is currently offering free shipping in British Columbia, and guarantees all orders received by December 20th will be delivered in time for Christmas.
