Spiced Water’s had it’s Grand Opening at 727 Courtney Street in downtown Victoria Thursday. Check out the new location, take part in special pairings, sample a variety of multi-roaster coffee and single origin teas, and meet exuberant new owners, Jared Nyberg, Miyuki Nyberg and Stephen Lyons. Spiced Water’s owners are focused on providing their customers with a great experience as soon as they step in the door. From the new active and convenient atmosphere, down to choosing the highest quality products, these are some of the most attentive, knowledgeable and friendly purveyors of coffee and tea in the industry. “We’re keenly aware of the hurdles to a good cuppa, but that means we can overcome them more easily,” says Jared. “We focus on changing people’s perceptions about perfumed teas, using the best roasters in the city, making sure the product is fresh, purchasing the highest quality raw materials and putting the effort into preparation.” Spiced Water features specialty coffees roasted by 2% Jazz, 49th Parallel, Discovery Coffee and Fernwood Coffee, Maccha flown in every month from Harimaen in Uji Japan, the intensely floral Giddapahar Estate Darjeeling SFTGFOP1 CHSPL and an assortment of delicious house made desserts to complete the experience. And that attention to detail is paying off. Jared and Miyuki have been featured in the New York Times for their innovative Tea Academy, and Fresh Cup magazine out of Portland recently featured their creative preparations over at JagaSilk, Spiced Water’s sister company at 633 Courtney. It seems Victorians have some catching up to do.
