Osoyoos Celebrates September 14 – 16, 2012Osoyoos, BC – The community of Osoyoos, at the very southern tip of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, is proud to present the first annual O! Osoyoos Celebrates festival, held from September 14-‐16, 2012.Honouring the wine, food and authentic culture of this distinctive community, the festival provides the opportunity to truly celebrate the town’s epicurean heroes; the passionate winemakers, talented chefs and dedicated farmers that bring unparalleled produce and an abundance of flavours to our tables throughout the year.“O! Osoyoos Celebrates is a salutation of all that Osoyoos is; a wealth of rich culture, world-‐class wines and tasting rooms and a commanding culinary community, all under the warmth of the South Okanagan sun,” declares Jo Knight, Executive Director for Destination Osoyoos. “We are thrilled to be the host organization in partnership with beneficiary Rotary Club of Osoyoos, and look forward to sharing Canada’s warmest welcome.”Over the course of the weekend, O! Osoyoos Celebrates features three events, the Red Carpet Soiree, Lobster on the Beach and a Sparkling Sabre Brunch – bringing together everything the community has to offer. Opening the festival on Friday evening, the glamorous Red Carpet Soiree includes all the paparazzi and pageantry of a gala occasion; Lobster on the Beach is a decedent seafood feast on the shores of the lake, right under the clear Okanagan sky (both evening events will be emceed by Global BC Morning News co-‐anchor, Sophie Lui); and a grand farewell is offered at the Sparkling Sabre Brunch with champagne, gourmet food and a little sabreing fun before heading home. Pair the festival with your choice of accommodation, tours and dining for a magical fall weekend in wine country.A weekend ticket package costs $150 for the three events, with individual tickets costing between $35 -‐ $85 per person.
