Eat & Pour (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the site”) is an independent Canadian food and drink publication. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through eatmagazine.ca (the “Site”), in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

• Name and email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a story pitch, apply to write for us, or contact us directly

Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to restaurants, producers, distilleries, markets, and other third-party websites we write about. We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Once you click through to an external site, that site’s privacy policy applies, not ours.

Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. We use industry-standard measures to protect the data we hold, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it promptly.

Under Canadian privacy law, you generally have the right to:

• Request correction of inaccurate information
